Dogs Currently Available for Stud

We do offer stud services and can provide both live covers and chilled semen.  All costs associated with the collection and shipping of semen are the responsibility of the Dam owner.

In order to protect the breed, we do have specific requirements in place that your dog must meet.  The following is a "minimum" list of requirements.  Unfortunately, we can not make any exceptions to these rules:

1.  Female dog must be at least 2 years old and no older than 6 years old.
2.  Must be AKC registered.
3.  Must have OFA hip/elbow certification.  (Penn Hip or European certifications acceptable)
4.  Must be Embark tested (Scott's Syndrome Clear)
5.  Must have DNA on file with the AKC.
6.  Should have at least a Canine Good Citizen Title or German Shepherd Dogs of America Temperament Test (exceptions made       on a case by case basis) .
     a.  IPG or Herding Titles preferred.
7.  Must be current on vaccinations.
8.  Must have had a Canine Brucellosis Test within 30 days of breeding.

If your female meets these requirements, you can email a copy of her pedigree, along with her AKC registration, OFA Certificates and vet records to:  dlhk9tex@yahoo.com This should be done several weeks before your female comes into season so that proper preparations can be made.  Stud fees vary between dogs based on titles and pedigrees.  We may consider "pick puppy" in lieu of stud fees in some rare occassions.

Donar is a very solid, large black sable German Shepherd Dog we imported from the Czech Republic.  He has his ZVV1 working title, his VD (Very Good) show rating and his KKL1 breed survey (recommended for breeding).  Donar also has 0/0 hips and elbows (no abnormalities - OFA equivalent of Good/Excellent), tested Spondy-0 and is DM Clear.  He does carry for Scott's Syndrome so any females considered must be Scott's Syndrome "Clear".  Donar is AKC registered and has AKC DNA on file.

Donar does carry for the long coat gene and solid black gene.  He has a large block head and very muscular structure.  He was born on 07/24/2019 and has a sweet, playful demeanor but can also be very serious and powerful.  Donar is a proven stud dog, having sired one litter in the Czech Republic and multiple litters here in the US (both natural and artificial).  He is currently a lean 93 lbs.  Photos of prior puppies available upon request.

If you would like more information about Donar and how he might improve your breeding program, please feel free to contact me at dlhk9tex@yahoo.com .  If you prefer to speak via phone, please email first and we can set up a date/time for a telephone appointment.
